After having read Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451, you spent a full three weeks working on creating a mockumentary that offered us a glimpse into our future society. Now that you have completed the project, take a few minutes to reflect on how the project went for you. Please respond to the following questions, and as always, remember that this is a conversation--read others' comments and respond to them as well.
1. Technology aside, what was the most challenging aspect of this project for you?
2. If you were to do this project again, what change would you make? How would this make your project more powerful?
3. What do you think Ray Bradbury would think of the prediction your mockumentary makes? Would he agree or disagree with it? Why?
Please use proper grammar (particularly capitalization) and spelling.

The most challenging part of the project for me was looking up the research. If I could redo this project again I would pick a different topic because I felt that it was hard to make a powerful point with a project on McDonalds. Ray Bradbury would say that the prediction we made were good but a little unrealistic because of the time frame in which the events happened.
The most challenging part of the mockumentary was research as well. It was difficult because it was hard trying to find pictures and facts about things and events that haven't happened yet. If we did this project again, I would hope that I wouldn't be gone on three days of work time. This threw us way behind of everyone else, and I'm sorry for my group. This would make our project more powerful because we wouldn't have to rush as much as we do, so it would be better quality. I think Ray Bradbury would agree with our presentation because it's showing how even the most innocent of people, children, are going to become materialistic and have to be constantly entertained with the newest toys or whatever it could be.
1) My problem was figuring out the topic and then the title of it. There are just so many different topics that I want to do!
2)I would have used photostory. Because moviemaker was really hard for me to use and also me and Jake had to re-record 4 times because of audasity. It was frustrating!
3)Bradbury would probably agree with the war aspect of it but not the reason for the wars. They just don't match up with the way he thinks and how he thinks it might go.
I think the hardest part of this project was writing the script. It was hard for me to try to give an accurate history of my topic and then make predictions for the future. If I were to do this project again I would have liked to be in a larger group because if I had 2 or 3 people to work with it would have made the creative part of the project a lot more fun. I think if Ray Bradbury saw my prediction he would be confused because in order for my project to make sense he would have had to see Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure.
1) The hardest part of this project for me would probably be finding all of the research and pictures. We had a lot of information in our project so it took us a long time to get all of our information together.
2) If I were to change one thing, I would have used a different program. I agree with Allie, movie maker caused us a lot of problems too. Our recordings all went corrupt and we had to re-find them and put them all in order. Also all of our pictures kept on going corrupt too so we wasted a lot of time trying to fix it when we could have had that time to make our project better.
3) I’m not sure if Bradbury would agree with our project or not. It depends on his political views. If he supports Obama he probably wouldn’t agree with it but if he was a supporter of McCain he probably would agree with most of it.
I think the hardest part of the project was recording and getting the recording into the movie maker. If I could redo this project I would definitely pick a project that was not as negative or scary for our future and more fun to play with. It was pretty hard to find music for our topic. I think Ray Bradbury would say that our prediction of robot tech. in the future would be somewhat realistic, since tech. these days is becoming SO advanced. It could happen, just maybe not as fast as our timeline was.
The most challenging part of the project for me was projecting into the future and getting suitable images and statistics for the future prediction. To be honest i really wouldnt change a whole lot. The only thing i can really think of is maybe making it a little more simple. We brought a ton of different ideas and concepts into our mockumentary but i think we tied them together well. Ray Bradbury would probably agree with my prediction because there are numerous concepts leading toward my prediction and alot of earlier predictions to support it.
The entire thing was difficult for me on some level. Since our topic seemed to be so broad it was hard to find what we were looking for. Then in writing the script, trying to figure out how to word things to make it interesting. The only thing that was easy was finding the pictures.
If I could redo this project, I would have done things in a different order to prevent the technological issues that we came across. I might have even tried to do it with Photostory instead.
To make it more powerful... I think I would have made it less light-hearted. We presented it like... well, like it didn't really matter. I guess we were so focused on making people pay attention.
I honestly think that Ray Bradbury would think that our prediction was really far fetched. I think he would have liked the idea, but he might doubt whether or not that would actually happen.
The most challenging part of the project for me was trying to find aspects that fit into the project like music and the pictures. If I could do this project again I would change the way that the project flowed, I would have liked to spend more time on the transitions between slides so that it mached up with the words better. I think Ray Bradbury would agree with alot of what we said because in his book he showed a very negative view of technology.
1. The most challenging part of this project for me was getting everything onto movie maker and matching it all up.
2. If I were to do this project again I would most definately take more time writing the script. This would make the project more powerful because it would have a more solid base to it.
3. I honestly have no idea what Ray Bradbury would think of my project. i dont know if he would agree or disagree with this because i dont know his views on our current and previous governments.
The most challenging part of this project for me was the script. I thought that because our theme was childrens toys it would be exciting and fun and keep them focused on the video. But we list alot of toys and it seems repetitive, and a little dull. Regardless if I had a choice to do it over, I would most deffinately try and figure out a way to make it sound more intriguing. Ray Bradbury would probely say that he liked all the pictures, and the music but the script was not intresting, but that our predictions were'nt too far feched.
1. The most challenging aspect for me in this project was finding the research and truing the information into a script.
2. If I were to do this project again I would spend more time on matching the song and matching the words with our pictures. I think Ray Bradbury would agree with a lot of what we said because in his books he showed a negative view of dramatic change.
Jason V:
1. The most challenging part of this project for me was coming up with projections into the future that weren't too far fetched but weren't really boring.
2. I would change the pictures and set the mood because my project was supposed to be funny, but it turned out serious and we left the funny aspect in so some of the pictures were out of place.
3. I think he would agree with it but say some of the ideas are far fetched. The main point is that society will keep advancing surgery techniques and people will chase after them, and I think he would agree with that key point, but not with the part about robotic balls being implanted under peoples' faces.
The most challenging part for me was getting the script written. I couldn't think of what words words would sound correct in that sentence. If I could redo this project I would pick one sport and focus on that one sport instead of the whole idea. Ray Bradbury would think that it is making a prediction because we talk about how sports influence our world. Competitive spirits make our world but they can also break our world.
the most challenging part of the project was fitting the information in such a short time. the first time Jamie and i did our project it was ten minutse long. if i could go back and redo one thing i would make my topic more specific rather than the progression of generations i might have focused ont the goverments effect on the youth.
despite my disagreements with what some projects said i enjoyed hearing the oposite view point. i enjoyed this project and thought it was worth the time and techology confustion.
The most challenging part of this project was figuring out a topic. It took Kaleigh and I a long time to choose one. Also I don't recommend using iMovie on the Mac computers, it's very confusing and we had to re-do our project 3 times. If I had the chance to, I think I would want to re-do this whole project and make it better. Ray Bradbury would think our prediction of the future would be mostly correct. He would think that eventually our society will end up like this, just maybe not as fast as Kaleigh and I predicted.
1.I thought that it was pretty hard to find research to back up everything we said. Also making the chart was pretty hard because we had so much information.
2.I would have more help with movie maker and technology because at times it was very challeneging to figure it out on our own. I think it would also make it so much more powerful because then more people would be able to have music in the background which causes more of a dramatic effect.
3.I'm not sure if he would agree or disagree with our project because I don't know what his political views were but I do know that he lived during the red scare and that was a time when everyone was afraid of communism. But Obama has many of the same ideas as Karl Marx(the founder of socialism). I think that Ray bradbury would agree with the dramatic future we created in our presentation because in his time period everyone was afraid of people like Obama. The only way to get an audiences attention is to shock them.
The most challenging part of this project for me was making the movie and finding correct facts. If I could do this again I would maybe choose another topic or try to understand the project better. Ray Bradbury would say that our prediction is possible, but it was not really thought through all the way. I think he would say that we needed to make a better timeline and have a better bias or leaning toward positive or negative.
The most challenging part of making the mockumentary for me was trying to imagine what it would be like in the future. If I could redo this project I would give myself more time to do research on the past so I could predict more in the future. I believe that Ray Bradbury would say that our mockumentary was a little bit out there in the futuristic part because of how unrealistic it kind of is.
The most challenging part for me was the research fort the project, i do feel if i could redo the project i would, picking a new topic not that I understand what I'm doing now. I think that I would work on it more, and yes I would choose to change topics, I realized i didn't really understand the topic I chose. I should have done something that I could pick I side with. Then I don't really know what Ray Bradbury would think of the project, maybe he would agree with the advancements of movies and some advancements, maybe some are a little extreme but for the most part I think he would agree.
The most challenging part of the project for me was finding the right facts, setting everything up and organizing it. If I could redo this project again I would try to make the project more interesting like maybe add in a few more sounds and definatley turn up the volume so when I present everyone could hear it. Ray Bradbury would probably say that the predictions we made were right on because in the book technology, like television, has progressed a lot.
The hardest part of our mockumentary project was finding pictures that we could use. We were trying to make our mockumentary funny and entertaining but it was hard to find appropriate pictures for these reasons. To make our project stronger I would research our topic more and have a better understanding of what we are trying to make fun of. I Think Ray Bradbury would agree with our predictions because we learned towards the whole society thinking and how we have become addicted to what we want to see instead of what we do see.
